"PAP PAP's WOODSHOP, Washington St., Nanty Glo, PA 15943."
Color: Brown - wood colored
Size: Each car is approx. 3-1/2" long x 2" wide x
2-1/2" high. When all three cars are hooked together, train is about
9-1/4" long
Age/Date: unknown

Original box: no
Quantity Available: 1 (Sold as set of three train cars)
Net Weight Before Shipping: 7 oz.
Notes: This is a collectible handmade toy wood train set. It is not brand
new.
NOTE: We received an email in May 2009 about this
train set: I just wanted to give you some more information on the
train that you have stamped with Pap Pap’s woodshop. Not sure
what the date of this one was, but they originally sold as a 4 car
set. Pap Pap passed away in November of 2006.. I am his grand
daughter and just happened to search for his woodshop and low and behold
I find one of his trains, and it looks to be in great condition.
Pap Pap started making wooden toys when he had a heart attack in the
early 1970’s. So he spent 30+ years of his life, making kids
happy. I hope that this piece also falls into the hands of someone
to play with. It would make him smile. "kcoudriet @ gfnet.com".

A Little Bit of Train Humor
While
working as a mall Santa, I had many children ask for electric trains.
"If you get a train," I would tell each one, "you know
your dad is going to want to play with it too. Is that okay?"
The usual answer was a quick yes, but after I asked
one boy this question, he became very quiet. Trying to move the
conversation along, I asked what else he would like Santa to bring him.
He promptly replied, "Another train." |
