Hi my name is Donna Doyle and I am organizing an event to be held at the Quakertown Airport on October 3rd, 2009 from 9 to 5, raindate will be October 10. The event is called a Drop for Duchenne and Fall Festival to raise money for research for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy which my grandson was diagnosed with 2 years ago. The money will go to Parent Project MD Organization which is on the cutting edge of the research that just might save my grandson. The Drop is a Golf Ball Drop which will be held at the end of the day and we will have the festival running all day. We are not asking for a set up fee from the crafters but instead that they donate an item for our raffles. It's outside so they need to bring their own tables and canopies and there is no access to electric. But it is a way for crafters to make money since there is no set up fee. You can have as much space as you need. We have 20 crafters so far and are hoping to have 60 all together. There will be games for kids and a pumpkin decorating contest, and a scarecrow making contest. Food, music and plane rides. I will be doing an interview with John McDevitt on KYW-news radio to promote the event as well as advertising in all of the newspapers. Since this is being put on by PA familes with boys with Duchenne there will be a lot of advertising. Please email me or call me at 215-345-7421 for a Vendor Registration Form.
