52nd Annual Chicken BBQ Event & 4th Annual Craft & Vendor Fair
Saturday, May 9, 2009 - 10:30AM to 5PM - Rain or shine.
Occupational Development Center (ODC) Grounds, 640 Martha Avenue, Lancaster, PA 17601 - Located two blocks from Lancaster Catholic H.S.
(Lancaster County PA.)
This annual event is always held the Saturday before Mother's Day. Admission is free. The ODC Parents’ Group will be sponsoring the chicken barbecue. Proceeds from this benefit will go to the programs and services at ODC. Tickets are $5 each for a half chicken, and can be purchased in advance or on the day of the event. Make sure to get there early as the famous Miller’s Barbecue will be cooking the chickens on site.
In addition to the chicken barbecue, there will be a Craft & Vendor Fair, and entertainment.
There will also be a flower sale held inside the Center, hosted by the ODC Women’s Auxiliary. Flowers consist of Geraniums & New Guinea Impatiens for $3 per 4-inch flower pot. Please contact Mignon Bowman at 717-393-9274 to submit an order by Saturday, May 2, 2009. Flower pick-up will be held from
11AM to 2PM at the Center.
The Occupational Development Center is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1948 as the Child Development Center. The mission of the Occupational Developmental Center is to provide high quality and cost effective not-for-profit vocational training and employment opportunities for Lancaster County adults with developmental disabilities.

The Annual National Pike Festival is held the third weekend in
May. It is known as the "world's longest festival" happening along 300 miles of the Historic National Road in Pennsylvania (Route 40) through Somerset, Fayette, and Washington Counties. It is organized by volunteers from every community along the Historic Corridor. An authentic wagon train make its way from town to town, period costumes, music, arts and crafts, and ethnic food.

National Pike Festival
The Annual National Pike Festival is held the third weekend in
May. It is known as the "world's longest festival" happening along 300 miles of the Historic National Road in Pennsylvania (Route 40) through Somerset, Fayette, and Washington Counties. It is organized by volunteers from every community along the Historic Corridor. An authentic wagon train make its way from town to town, period costumes, music, arts and crafts, and ethnic food.
