This event is a festival of acoustic music for people of all ages, with the
experienced as well as novice musicians coming together to play in harmony to
the rhythms of bluegrass music! Admission is free, with the banquet hall seating
500 people. As many as 32 different bands will donate their time and talent at
the Ice Jam. Monetary donations are accepted throughout the weekend with the
proceeds benefiting local charities. Come enjoy this family event!

Victory Family
Church, 21150 Route 19, Cranberry Twp. PA 16066 (Butler County PA.) The church is easily accessible from PA 76 Turnpike or Interstate 79. Located across from the Butler Auto Auction on Route 19. The Festival will be held in our large parking lot and surrounding grounds.
Annual event held the Friday and Saturday before Easter. Parents and kids alike are invited to take part in all the free family fun. With more than 60,000 eggs to hunt, huge inflatable rides and games, live puppet shows, radio-controlled racers, local fire companies, balloon artists, temporary tattoos, doughnut decorating, giveaways, local food vendors, and a visit from the Easter Bunny ~ the event is sure to live up to its reputation as one of the community's favorites. In addition to all of the fun activities for children, the event will also serve as an Open House for those in the community who wish to become better acquainted with Victory Family Church. Victory Fall Festival is an event similar to our Spring Extravaganza but geared to the festivities of the fall. A free event with lots for the family. Free pony rides, hayrides, corn maze, straw maze, several inflatable rides, balloon artist, temporary
tattoos, puppet show, train rides, pumpkin patch with pumpkin painting, mini horse-drawn carriages, games, several crafts / artists and food vendors, marketplace and more.
NOTE: We are still looking for Crafters and Artists. There is no set up fee but an application is needed for review of craft.

- The Living Dead Festival
Friday and Saturday, October 30 & 31, 2009 - 11AM both days
EDCO Park, 154 W. Main St., Evans City, PA 16033 (Butler County PA.)
Annual event held Halloween weekend. Ghouls will converge on EDCO Park in Evans City, starting on Friday October 30th at 11AM to eat, drink and be scary. Stars of the cult classic will be on hand all day to sign autographs and field questions from diehard fans. Revelers will strut their guts during Evans City's official Halloween parade at 7PM, including a costume contest!
At 8PM, a champagne gala will be held in nearby Zelienople,
PA, at the 92-year-old Strand Theater. There guests will browse a collection of rare "Night" artifacts amassed by ghoul-enthusiast and author Andrew Jones. Guests will meet "Night" alumni Judith Ridley and Terry Gindele. Just before midnight, there will be a screening of Gindele's film "A Day in the Life of a Ghoul," a comedic look at a cadaver's existence 42 years after filming. A screening of Romero's black-and-white masterpiece will follow. Seating for the gala event is limited. Tickets are $100 for this Friday event, and available on a first come, first served basis. Saturday at 11AM, guests can meet and greet horror icons, get a lesson in grisly makeup from special effects artists, listen to macabre music and watch cinematic fan tributes to "Night" before enjoying the flick on a 15 x 20 foot inflatable screen. Tickets are available in advance on the event web site from $8-$100.

Annual festival held the last full weekend in September.
History is in motion at the 16th Annual Heritage Festival at McConnells Mill State Park. The festival celebrates the operational time period of the historical
gristmill - from 1852 to 1928, and costumed vendors will display their crafts inspired by this time. Music and special tours of the mill will be offered. A new turbine has been installed in the McConnell’s gristmill to demonstrate corn grinding and the fascinating machinery that ground the grain for the community surrounding Slippery Rock Gorge.
Entertainment for the festival includes bluegrass music, cloggers, and old time music.
A civil war encampment brings history to life, and artisans & craftsmen will demonstrate their skills throughout the festival. Animals, games and face painting are available for children. Lots of good food!
The Festival is sponsored by the Portersville-Prospect Rotary Club, aided by several local businesses and non-profit organizations.
