DESCRIPTION: The Life Skills kids are hosting this event. Great event to go to. All vendors are asked to donate a percentage of their sales back to the program. So the tables and spaces are free. I am just a vendor there, but i can give you any information you need about the event. This is hopefully going to be a good event, I am raffling off a huge gift basket for every $5.00 purchase. Some of the things in it are: $25.00 Garda's gift certificate, $25.00 Villa gift certificate, Millers coupons, $20.00 worth of free tans from Helmets, 5 free tans from Tropical Hairadise, $20.00 gift certificate from Mary's Cakes and Candies, (3) 14" pizzas from Sirena's, and much more! Fort Armstrong Folk Festival
Thursday thru Sunday, July 30 thru August
2, 2009 (38th annual)
The Festival is held in the northern portion of Riverfront Park, located
off Route 422, along the Allegheny River and is adjacent to downtown Kittanning, Pennsylvania. Kittanning is 45 miles north of Pittsburgh (Route 28) and 70 miles east of Youngstown, Ohio (Route 422.)
Five-day arts and crafts festival held every August celebrating art, music, food, history, and memories of Armstrong County. Arts and crafts, food, music, fine arts, and other events and activities. The festival is free to the general public with entertainment provided. The goal of the Fort Armstrong Folk Festival is to provide traditional fine arts and crafts, educational activities, and live performing artists to entertain and enrich the community, while preserving and demonstrating Pennsylvania's historical and living heritage.

Did You Know? Parker Pennsylvania
is located just on the border of Butler County and Armstrong
County. It is actually located in Armstrong County PA and is the
smallest city in the United States. Parker was incorporated as a city on March 1, 1873
during the Pennsylvania oil boom because it was thought it would grow
into a major city. It was called Parker City and included the villages of Parker's Landing
(on the Allegheny River) and Lawrenceburg (on the bluff above the river).
However, the oil boom ended earlier than expected and Parker ended up a
small village. According to the 2000 Census, the population is 799. Click
